Old home page address: what the site offers now
You’ve followed an old link to the home page. The previous website is no longer here: the domain is now home to an independent reference about home textiles. Below is a short overview of what you’ll find in its sections and where to start if you’re interested in towels, bed linens, throws, curtains or caring for them.
Old links take on a life of their own. We can’t bring back what used to be there, but we can make sure they lead to something useful.
Where this address comes from
Archived address · the previous page has not survived
This address used to open the home page of the previous website. Links to it can still be found on other sites.
Its content has not survived and is not reproduced here, and we don’t write about the previous website. The Deviva reference has no connection to it: it is an independent project about choosing home textiles and caring for them.
What’s here now
Deviva is a reference about the fabric items that surround us at home: towels, bathrobes, bed linens, throws, bedspreads and curtains. We explain how fabrics and fibers differ, how to choose items by feel and fiber content, and how to wash, dry, iron and store them so they stay pleasant for longer.
We don’t sell anything or name brands. Our advice is given in general terms, and wherever everything depends on the specific item, we point you straight to the manufacturer’s care label: the care symbols on it are described in the international standard ISO 3758.

The advice in this reference sums up widely shared recommendations for caring for home textiles and is given in general terms. Every item has its own fiber content and finish, so the manufacturer’s care label is your main guide: if it differs from our advice, follow the label.
